Melody Taba
Melody is a PhD student at the University of Sydney’s School of Public Health under the supervision of A/Prof. Carissa Bonner, Prof. Kirsten McCaffery and Dr. Julie Ayre.
Her research aims to improve young people’s digital health literacy skills, as well as improving the digital health communication they receive from public health agencies, particularly via social media.
Her PhD is titled ‘Optimising health communication to young people via social media in public health emergencies’ and involves mixed-methods and participatory design.
She has a background in public health and is currently working on projects focussed on young people, digital health literacy, and infectious disease outbreaks and vaccination.
