Melody Taba

Melody is a PhD student at the University of Sydney’s School of Public Health under the supervision of Dr Carissa Bonner, Professor Kirsten McCaffery and Dr Julie Ayre.

Her research aims to optimise health communication targeting young people via social media in public health emergencies.

Melody has a background in public health research focussing on youth health and wellbeing. Since completing her Bachelor of Science Honours at the University of Sydney in 2017 and her Master of Public Health at UNSW in 2019, she has been working as a Senior Research Officer at the University of Sydney’s Specialty of Child and Adolescent Health.

She is currently working on projects focussed on enhancing adolescent digital health literacy, youth social media use and vaccination delivery systems.
